Getting to the Ascension Summit Headquarters – Stewart Mineral Springs
Stewart Mineral Springs is is a beautiful setting in the Mt. Shasta foothills approximately 10 Minutes North of the town of Mount Shasta off of the Highway I-5. See the map below, the address is 4617 Stewart Springs Road Weed, CA 96094.
Direct travel time between the Redding California airports is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes drive. We will have private optional shuttles running that you will be able to take up the mountain and to Mount Shasta town or the retreat centre for a small fee. Alternatively you can take the Shasta Shuttle details here. Please email us soon at: admin@fotway.com as soon as you can with your arrival time so we can plan for your arrival.
NOTE: We have THREE! more rooms for between $50 – $100 a night left to reserve at Stewart Mineral Springs – first come first serve! Some rooms include multiple bedding arrangements so can potentially fit a few people in one room. Lodging is not included in the summit registration fee. Contact us if you would like a room, or if you would like to share a room at: admin@fotway.com.
When these rooms book up – you can stay elsewhere in Mount Shasta or Weed California and we’ll have daily shuttles coming from Weed and Mount Shasta.
Stewart Mineral Springs offers a unique environment of sacred mineral waters and affordable accommodations, with it’s famous red and white springs converging into one. The indigenous Karuk Tribe has respected these springs for generations, and the Native American tradition is carried on by Stewart’s devotion to caring for the land and it’s waters.

No wifi access or cell phone coverage
Stewart Mineral Springs is a retreat center that really is about getting away from the buzz of the world. There is no access to wi-fi or cell phone coverage on the grounds. Cell phone access is about 5 minutes up the road and there are WiFi cafes are in Mount Shasta, town.

Arrival:
As you enter the campus, you will head up a steep hill. At the top of the hill, turn left. Go past the parking lot on your right. and then down the hill to the dorms. Someone will be there to meet you and give you your room number (unless we can manage to get those out to you in advance)

- Flashlight for evenings
- Plastic water bottle (there are filtered water stations throughout the campus)
- EarplugsHairdryer (if you need one)
- Calling card (pay phone in Community Building)
- Favorite snacks
- Medication (refrigerator available)
- Cash or personal checks for shop items
- Musical instruments, poetry, other offerings
- Swimsuit (for campus hot tub)
